H&A Automotive, Inc. opened in May of 2000 with one goal in mind, to provide quality reliable automotive service at affordable prices for their customers. Although we specialize in Honda and Acura repair, with the growing demand for us to service additional brands, we also offer services to owners of other Japanese Imports as well as most domestic brands. Our professionally trained technicians have the knowledge and skill to diagnose and repair your vehicle utilizing the very latest computerized diagnostic equipment. Our shop management software gives us access to the same technical and repair information as the dealer, making us an affordable alternative to the dealership.
Our Story
H&A Automotive, Inc. opened for business in May 2000, by owners Dean Buckallew and Vince Conklin and specializes in servicing Honda and Acura vehicles. The business has successfully grown over the years primarily by “word of mouth” advertising from our loyal customers. Honesty and professionalism are basic standards for the H&A Automotive crew. We are committed to earning your trust and loyalty by always providing superior customer service and affordable prices, which is why we have been voted one of the “Best of the Flathead” since 2007.
Our Team
Dean Buckallew
Working on vehicles is something Dean has been doing professionally since he went to work for the local Chevrolet dealership in 49 years ago. Dean has been employed by GM dealerships in Missoula, Oregon and Whitefish. He work as the Service and Parts director for the Honda dealership from 1988 to 2000 when he and Vince Conklin made the decision to opened H&A Automotive, Inc.
Vince Conklin
Vince has been working in the automotive industry 37 years. He received his Master Technician Certification from the Wyoming Technical Institute in 1985 and started his automotive career with the local Chrysler dealership in 1986. In 1989 he was hired by the Honda dealership and worked there for 11 years as a factory trained master technician before opening H&A Automotive with Dean Buckallew in 2000.
Kyle Buckallew
Kyle has been working on vehicles for more then 20 years. He graduated from Helena College Of Technology in 2007, then joined H&A Automotive in 2008 where he received on the job training before becoming a partner in 2023.

Are repairs under warranty?
At H&A Automotive we offer a 90 day labor warranty. Parts warranties fall under manufacture specifications ranging from 1 year to lifetime.
What vehicles do you repair?
At H&A Automotive we work on Japanese and Domestic vehicles. Specializing in the Japanese makes Honda, Acura and Subaru.
Do you charge for estimates?
Although we do charge for diagnostic work. We do not charge for estimates.
Do you do oil changes?
We do offer oil change services and carry both standard and synthetic oils.
